I woke up the next morning still as angry as I’d been the night before. Maybe more angry because I kept waking up in the middle of the night thinking maybe Liam was going to try and sneak into our bedroom, and it pissed me off to think he thought he could get off that easily.

There’d also been a couple of times when I’d thought maybe it was Josh trying to sneak into the bedroom. Like maybe he was looking for a repeat performance of what’d happened on the couch.

I shivered. I’m not sure why it was such a hot thought that Josh might get overwhelmed and come into the bedroom in the middle of the night, but it was a thought that’d been there all night long and it’d kept me tossing and turning.

The real crazy thing was I wasn’t sure what I’d do if he came into the room. I was just pissed off enough at Liam that I might’ve seriously considered doing something that would’ve put my marriage in jeopardy, and that told me this whole game we were playing was a very dangerous one.

I sighed as I sat up and looked around the bedroom. I’d migrated to the middle of the bed in the night, because there was no husband there to keep me from moving over to his side of the bed.

I wondered what would be waiting for me on the other side of the door when I headed out.

Josh and Liam were both out there, after all, and I was going to have to do the whole working from home thing with both of them moving around the house like a couple of cats in a room full of rocking chairs looking pissed off at each other.

I moved into the bathroom and started getting ready for the day. I looked at myself in the mirror and thought about how I’d been avoiding getting done up most days lately.

What was the point? There was the occasional video chat, sure, but it’s not like I was trying to impress anyone at the office.

I mean sure Liam had made the occasional comment about how some of the guys at the office clearly had the hots for me, but I’d always figured that was his fantasy talking and I’d definitely never been interested in what the guys at work thought of me.

I’d seen them looking, but I wasn’t going to shit where I ate.

Today, though, I figured maybe it was time to do myself up in something a little sexier than some of the stuff I’d been wearing around the house. After all, we had a new house guest and I wanted to make sure he felt right at home while he was staying with us!

So I did my makeup and hair just a little. I put on a cute tank top. It wasn’t exactly a going out on the town sort of tank top, but it was definitely a step above the around the house stuff I’d been wearing.
